prediabetes. This contract the allows us to continue that program. The contract period is January 1st of 2024 through September 00:10:30
29th of 2024. 00:10:36
The contract amount is $9665 and. 00:10:42

Mr. Ross, seconded by Commissioner James. All in favor, say aye, opposed, say nay. 00:11:01
Thank you passage. 00:11:07
And now we have an opportunity for public comment. 00:11:10
Mr. Teeth. 00:11:16
My name is Steve Keats and Green. 00:11:38
Have at least two things, maybe three. First of all, I'd like to ask Commissioner James how did the MPO meeting? 00:11:42
Went well, you all. You wanted a scripture general description. 00:11:50
Fairly light meeting Steve, we had various presentations as we usually do reports from the air pollution control Divas and Iraq 00:11:56
and etcetera. Her presentation on Van Gogh, Van Gogh continues to gain momentum and it's back nearly to the ridership that it was 00:12:03
pre COVID for mobility programs. This one I think stands out the fact that it's actually in the black, very few mobility and 00:12:10
transit programs are in the black Van Gogh is. 00:12:17
The board chose new officers. The planning council did I go to the past chair. Position Counselor John Model from Loveland is the 00:12:26
new chair. Counselor Johnny Olson from Greeley is the is the vice chair. 00:12:32
Big thing we did is I heard the 2023 call for projects. Obviously the MPO has four different pots of money that can dole out from. 00:12:40
They include. I wished I knew these off the exact top of my head, but I have my notes. 00:12:49
They include UH CMAC, which is a congestion and congestion. 00:12:55
Congestion medication and air quality grants, SDPG Service Transportation block grants, TA Transportation alternative grants and 00:13:00
CRP, my favorite acronym, which is the carbon reduction program looks like in the next year. In those four programs, total 00:13:07
requests were $49.7 million. We only have $24 million, so that's what we doled out or at least that's what we heard. We will award 00:13:13
those projects in January. 00:13:20
OK, so. 00:13:27
I guess. 00:13:32
If you could find out what projects or I could have a list of projects for that I I'm happy to. In fact, I will print out this 00:13:35
list for you right now, Sir. And if you want to mingle about after the meeting I'll make sure I get you the the list of projects 00:13:41
that were both approved and will be approved and and wait listed. I appreciate that of course. 00:13:47
And my second thing is in the paper the Green Tribune. It talked about Governor Polis signs a while given 30 million boost for 00:13:54
people having trouble paying their rent because there's thousands of evictions across Kawala could be prevented in coming months 00:14:02
after Governor Jared Polo signed law Tuesday that sets about 30 million. 00:14:10
It OK, I didn't read the whole thing, but I was wondering. 00:14:19
If. 00:14:24
Either you guys or or if it's the city stuff, maybe could get some of that and to help. 00:14:26
No, no, Steve HH Renter needs to apply individually to receive those votes. Oh, OK well that answers my question. 00:14:34
Second of all, and this is happening in Fort Collins. 00:14:43
It's interesting. They have a there's an organization. 00:14:50
That has noble laundry. 00:14:57
And I thought that was neat. I did read this article completely. I thought that was really neat, that they could, the people that 00:15:00
are homeless could drop off. 00:15:06
And they're in two places. One in for college, and then they go to Loveland and you can drop off your laundry. 00:15:12
And about two or three hours later, before the end of the day, you can pick it up. They will wash it, dry it, and fold it for you. 00:15:19
So I thought maybe this is a good idea for around here, that some organization could do that too. 00:15:28
Another thing is well, actually two and one here. 00:15:37
First of all. 00:15:45
It's there's a this from the Denver Post and says needs of people living on Carlyle streets are growing. 00:15:47
And. 00:15:57
And also to in this talks about the VOA. 00:15:59
Maybe having? 00:16:04
Doing a motel, you know, maybe buying a motel or something like that. It also says they range from season all weather campers to a 00:16:07
family of Venezuela refugees, newcomers, wearing shorts and so forth and so on. So the outcome Illegals, that's what my 00:16:14
perception. But also too, we have here some illegals around the streets now too. I mean used to they'd be able to be housed and 00:16:21
now I'm concerned about. 00:16:28
Where we and the taxpayers. 00:16:36
That are homeless going to be able to go if our Mercedes or our shelters are taken over by the legals, I know they're down and it 00:16:38
was in the news that down in the southern cities during the border that mean they were overwhelmed and we're starting to be up 00:16:48
here too. So we have in the future we're going to have even worse to one of those problems. We don't do something about it. 00:16:58
And I think everybody needs to get together to be able to get some, you know, a lot of people off the streets as well as have a 00:17:08
preventive to being homeless as well. 00:17:14
Also. 00:17:20
To not just. 00:17:23
And and tax and this other thing is that there's another round VA, but anyway. 00:17:24
Mental ill. 00:17:31
Pushed out of hospitals too soon? 00:17:32
And legislators working to give care to homeless, low income patients until they are stable. 00:17:35
So that's another problem that feeds into the homelessness was to be able to be sorry, to be able to be. 00:17:42
Independent. 00:17:53
Financially as well as maybe. 00:17:56
Some people's mental state as well as to be able to be productive citizens and they can feel better about themselves so. 00:18:00
I'm just saying is we need to have. 00:18:13
You know, some solution to prevention as well as house people, because that wouldn't be more. 00:18:17
And you say vibrant city, vibrant county and also to that people would be able to be. 00:18:27
Eventually, hopefully financial independent. Thank you. Thank you, Steve. I appreciate your comments. 00:18:38
All right, we will continue our land use. 00:18:44
Docket. We have to a German. 00:18:49
We will adjourn. 00:18:53
And I think we can take a 5 minute. 00:18:54
We're good. No, we haven't. 00:18:58

transit programs are in the black Van Gogh is.
