| Start. | 00:14:38 | |
| Katie Lawrence. | 00:14:41 | |
| Melinda. | 00:14:42 | |
| Saracio. | 00:14:44 | |

| Katie Tan, Loomis Reagan Maldonado, Desiree Rodriguez. | 00:14:56 | |
| Veronica Paxton, Danica Fagan, Kelly Morrison, Meredith Skoglund. | 00:15:00 | |
| And Molly Ryan. | 00:15:05 | |
| Jamie Ores. | 00:15:10 | |
| Commissioners would like to say a few words, Commissioner Pepper. | 00:15:14 | |
| Just the ageism and elder abuse are really issues. | 00:15:18 | |
| There can be assumptions that a person with chronological age is maybe diminished in some way just because our hair is Gray. We | 00:15:22 | |
| might be a little stooped or walk with a cane. There may be the assumption that the brain is not working as well anymore. | 00:15:30 | |
| So our first assumption should be that this person is still fully capable. | 00:15:37 | |
| Intelligent and we can work together to try to break those stereotypes and ensure that each generation is treated with respect. | 00:15:40 | |
| And I want to thank you for the work that you do on behalf of older adults. Thank you. | 00:15:46 | |
| Do you motion to yourself? | 00:15:53 | |
| Disassemble that remark. | 00:15:56 | |
| On the daily, inspired by the dedication and compassion and. | 00:16:00 | |
| And advocacy that you exhibit for all the people of Weld County, nonetheless, those that are alone or above among us. | 00:16:05 | |
| Thank you so much for caring for the gym. | 00:16:11 | |
| That is elder people in Well County. | 00:16:14 | |
| Continue to protect them, I know you will. God bless you. Thanks for what you do. | 00:16:17 | |
| Commissioner Maxie, thank you, Madam Chair, thank you Tammy and Jamie and, and for your whole team and everybody who's here today | 00:16:21 | |
| to. | 00:16:24 | |
| Be a part of this proclamation. | 00:16:28 | |
| You know, you mentioned 1 or 2 million. | 00:16:30 | |
| People affected and even though that's broad range when you. | 00:16:33 | |
| Think about the amount of people in the United States that are over 65. It's only about 17% of population. And so that's a good | 00:16:36 | |
| amount of people that are affected. | 00:16:39 | |
| In that in that age range and so. | 00:16:43 | |
| Proud to proclaim today World Elder Abuse Day. | 00:16:46 | |
| On our meeting for the 15th of June. | 00:16:50 | |
| To raise awareness, to identify and help prevent. | 00:16:52 | |
| Some of the issues that you mentioned, Tammy, so thank you and your team again for the work that you guys do daily to help protect | 00:16:54 | |
| those older Americans among us. | 00:16:58 | |
| Commissioner Ross. | 00:17:02 | |
| Those statistics are kind of scary when you hear of the rapid increase, or sharp increase I should say, and. | 00:17:04 | |
| Investigations for. | 00:17:11 | |
| Potential abuse against our vulnerable and at risk adults and. | 00:17:13 | |
| Some that's not the forefront, and I guess it. I appreciate this day for bringing this matter forward so that more people can | 00:17:18 | |
| become aware of it. | 00:17:22 | |
| And understand that it is a serious. | 00:17:26 | |
| Issue and I want to say thank you to everybody for. | 00:17:29 | |
| All your efforts in combating this because it is extremely. | 00:17:32 | |
| Important. So with that, keep up the great work and I'm very grateful for your hard work. Thank you. | 00:17:36 | |
| And I'll take it personal. I always do, I think. | 00:17:40 | |
| You know, I think of my mom and dad and not. | 00:17:44 | |
| Say if I didn't live in town. | 00:17:47 | |
| How comforting it would be to know that you all would probably be there to help him in that time of need. | 00:17:50 | |
| My mother was exploited all the time for. | 00:17:57 | |
| Fraud always constantly called on lotteries and. | 00:18:01 | |
| And again, it was. | 00:18:06 | |
| Even the police department's help. | 00:18:08 | |
| As well as AAA, I mean, that board helps seniors keep aware of how they can protect themselves. Because I can't even fathom as I | 00:18:11 | |
| get older how I can stay above what's true and what's not true out there and. | 00:18:18 | |
| And the fraud that's going on. So from my bottom of my heart, I can't thank you enough. | 00:18:25 | |
| Because I know every daughter. Every. | 00:18:29 | |
| Son would appreciate all that you do for the elderly and you guys are rock stars in my mind and. | 00:18:31 | |
| I came as close. | 00:18:37 | |
| Purple as I could. | 00:18:39 | |
| I would hope all will join us for the Elderly Abuse walk this afternoon. | 00:18:41 | |
| And stand with us. It is not acceptable in well county. So thank you so so much. And I am the oldest 1 so. | 00:18:46 | |
| I get to have a picture with you all. | 00:18:54 | |
| Fastest Walker? | 00:18:58 | |
| I don't know if you guys want to come on down it's. | 00:19:01 | |
| Grab it. | 00:19:05 | |
| Anchored. | 00:19:13 | |
| Thank you guys all very much. | 00:19:16 | |
| All right. | 00:19:22 | |
| Don't know how big a camera is. | 00:19:24 | |
| He was going the wrong way. | 00:19:28 | |
| Right, OK, we can make this work. | 00:19:34 | |
| All right, 1/2. | 00:19:36 | |
| Perfect, everybody. Thank you so much. Thanks. | 00:19:40 | |
| You're walking. | 00:19:51 | |
| I'm just kidding. Did it come out? | 00:19:53 | |
| Yes, absolutely. | 00:19:56 | |
