ROLL CALL

TOM TEIXEIRA

MINUTES

Yes, ma'am. 00:00:33
Hey, guys. 00:00:46
How are you living the dream? 00:00:49
That's a good. 00:00:53
To the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with 00:08:31
liberty and justice for all. 00:08:37
Good morning and welcome everybody to today's regularly scheduled Board of County Commissioners hearing. We will open up Housing 00:08:49
Authority board roll call, please. 00:08:53
Mike Freeman, Scott James here, Lori saying payback, Kevin Ross here. What the record reflects. 5 out of five commissioners are 00:09:00
here and it looks like we have a representative for the Housing Authority. Would you like to come forward any presentation this 00:09:05
morning? 00:09:10
Yes, Sir. 00:09:16
Tom takes our Flewell County Housing Authority. You got a letter that indicated that we were in trouble status. I give you some 00:09:23
background on that I. 00:09:28
By March of each year, we're required to do a in-house audit of files. Are not all the files. There's a number of files out there. 00:09:34
By a third person to look at that and also go out and re inspect some of the units that are being. 00:09:46
Used. 00:09:54
These were for 20 and 21, but due to COVID we didn't do this. We had an exemption. We got the word. I'm not sure quite when. 00:09:56
Now, but in early 23 that we needed to do it again, we didn't have enough time to do it. They initially said well just ask for an 00:10:07
extension. 00:10:12
Six or seven weeks later we got a letter backstand our extension if it died so we would go into trouble status. 00:10:17
And then that they would come out and do an inspection or basically originally it was supposed to be a off site inspection, turned 00:10:25
out to be an on site. 00:10:30
So they came, that's the letter you got was for that inspection. We did have some issues on that inspection that we're going to 00:10:35
have to correct. We'll be getting a letter on that in the future. 00:10:40
There is no change in funding. Anybody have any questions for Tom? 00:10:46
Commissioner Singh, excuse me, I'm sorry, That's OK. 00:10:52
I'm sure you're a very busy person. I did have some constituents reach out to me about the condition of the unit just. 00:10:58
Based on what you just said, probably maybe not enough expressions, but if I can reach it to you afterwards, maybe this afternoon, 00:11:05
I appreciate it. Yes, ma'am. Thank you. 00:11:09
All right. Anything else for Tom? 00:11:14
All right, bring us 2 minutes approval minutes of March 25th, 2024. Second, you got a motion for approval of the minutes by 00:11:16
Commissioner Boxing, by Commissioner James. Further discussion. 00:11:22
Hearing none, all in favor signify by saying aye, aye, all opposed. Same sign. Minutes have been approved. Thomas, thanks for that 00:11:29
update. We appreciate it. And that concludes Housing Authority Board. 00:11:34
We'll give the clerk just a second here. 00:11:40
