While you're coming up, I'll go ahead and read this proclamation and we'll yeah, please come up. We want to honor you and 00:14:21
recognize you. 00:14:24
To join us in thanking all nurses for the difference they make and caring for the people of Royal County. May their compassion and 00:15:39
commitment continue. Signed by all 5 Board of County Commissioners. So congratulations. 00:15:44
Good morning commissioners. My name is Sean May. I am the Public Health Services Division Director at the Royal County Department 00:15:55
of Public Health and Environment. I am stepping in this morning for our Executive Director, Jason Cheshire, who is on a well 00:16:02
earned and deserved vacation, so he's asked me to step in. So I will do my best to to to make us all proud here. Once again, thank 00:16:09
you for the recognition of National Nurses Week. We are thankful and appreciate your steadfast support of all nurses. 00:16:16
Thank you for giving us that opportunity to demonstrate our servant hearts and our incredible skill as we serve the residents, 00:16:55
particularly those with the greatest need. 00:17:00
The health department does not serve the population as diverse and numerous as the hospital. As the nurses here that work in the 00:17:05
hospitals and community health centers and doctors offices, these services, the lives that we touch, are just as important. 00:17:11
These services provide the services we provide at the health department are distinctly different, but we are complementary and so 00:17:18
important gaps in healthcare that benefit the overall population of World County. So I'm not a very artistic person, I'm more of a 00:17:23
technical mind. But I thought I'd take a leap and take a chance and I'd like to read a poem written by Jane Shepherd and his 00:17:29
titled A Nurses Poem. 00:17:34
I noticed there's a kind and caring soul who puts the needs of others before their own. A voice for those who cannot speak. A 00:17:40
supporting aid helping you get back on your feet. A gentle reminder of what you can achieve. A hand to grasp, to hold, to help you 00:17:48
to believe. A smile that can brighten even the darkest of days. A light to guide and help you find your way. Reporting for duty 00:17:56
day and night. A compassionate ally while you fight. 00:18:04
And for those who may struggle and think they can't cope, a nurse will be present to give them hope. 00:18:12
Thank you to all nurses, past and present, for sharing your love, compassion and skills with others. Thank you. 00:18:20
Anybody from UC Health wish to speak? 00:18:29
Good morning. My name is Tammy Paconi. I'm the Chief Nursing Officer at UC Health Greeley Hospital. Thank you for inviting us here 00:18:33

say thank you for representing thank you for allowing us to come and acknowledge the work that nurses do in our communities. 00:19:19
We're very focused on the underserved population in Greeley, especially at NCMC and have a dedicated team that really works 00:19:27
through compassion, courage and grace to ensure that we're providing the best care. So thank you. Thank you. Excellent. Anybody 00:19:33
else, Sean or we. We got everybody. No, I think we're good. The only thing I was going to say is I'm, I'm, I'm really sorry that I 00:19:39
forgot to mention Vander when I was up here. My wife works at there. So I hope you're not watching, honey. So. 00:19:45
We'll gloss over that one. 00:19:55
James did work at Banner here. 00:19:58
Nurses, Banner, UC Health, public and otherwise, thank you. Regardless of the organization that you work for. It's the compassion 00:20:05
that you carry in your hearts that makes your career special. Thank you for what you do in the overall care that you provide for 00:20:11
the citizens of World County and for the entire world. Thank you. 00:20:16
Excellent. Nice book. I just want to thank you. That poem just touched me. So I'm going to try to stay strong, but thank you. I 00:20:21
can't say thank you enough for my mother going through the hospital, my father going through the hospital. I have gone through the 00:20:29
hospital and the nurses have been everything to make that time better. And I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart 00:20:36
from well County. Thank you so much for being here. I appreciate my friend Carol Salter and Lola there. 00:20:43

Staff recommends approval of this ordinance 3/24/08. 00:39:26
Right. With what did you have anything to have you commissioners? You may recall that this came out of one of the RLD cases that 00:39:31
you have recently received and had given staff direction to put forth code changes for you as a result. And so that's what we're 00:39:36
presenting today. 00:39:42
Any questions for staff? 00:39:49
All right, this is a public hearing. At this time, I'll go ahead and open it up to the public. If anybody wishes to make comments 00:39:54
to code Ordinance 20/24/08, now is your opportunity to ask. Please come to the podium, state your name, your address, and keep 00:40:01
your comments to 3 minutes. Does anybody wish to make comment to this code ordinance? 00:40:07
Seeing none, I'll go ahead and close public comment and I will bring it back to the Board for discussion. 00:40:17
Mr. James, thanks for acting on this so fast. Appreciate it. With that Mr. Chair, I move to approve on first reading code 00:40:24
Ordinance 2024, Dash 08 second. 00:40:28
So motion from Commissioner James for approving on first reading code Ordinance 2024, Dash 08. Second by Commissioner Singh 00:40:34
discussion. Mr. Freeman. Yeah, I just want to thank Elizabeth and Max and Bruce for putting together something that just really 00:40:39
goes back and uses some common sense on something that that's out there. And currently it's out in the that's out in the in the 00:40:45
county and it still protects future RLDS and future development to the one axis. So I just want to thank you for your work on 00:40:51
this. 00:40:57
I would echo those comments. I do want to say thank you very much for acting so swiftly on this. I struggle with changing code for 00:41:04
one instance, right. I really do. However, anytime we change code, there's unintended consequences and this I think this case is 00:41:11
probably an unintended consequence. 00:41:19
From previous when we brought the RLD forward. I'm not crazy about these things, but I do think this code ordinance is limited 00:41:27
enough in in structure it's still. 00:41:33
It still maintains the intent of what the RLD is for and the sanctity of it, if you want to say it in that manner or whatnot. So I 00:41:40
do appreciate you on that. So public comments and then I'm, I'm sorry, Yeah, yeah, I opened that up earlier. So with that, is 00:41:47
there any other comments, Mr. Chair, public comments after this? I think that's what he meant. He's not speaking on this issue. 00:41:53
OK. 00:42:00
Well, right now we are in. 00:42:09
#4 Under Planning Ordinance 2024-08, that public comment period has ended and right now we're in discussion with the board. There 00:42:11
is a motion and a second on the floor. 00:42:17
And we are in discussion. Thank you very much, Mr. Chair. I might have to take some extension at swiftly. 00:42:24
Because they're now, they encourage you when asked to do so the first time. We shouldn't make people wait, especially as Mitchell 00:42:31
Freeman said, we are trying to provide a common sense solution for somebody when it's again richly deserves it. He had his entire 00:42:38
neighborhood around him saying we want this and that's the kind of spirit and the spirit of core that we want to have in White 00:42:45
County where colors are incursion our government to serve them the way that they want to be served. 00:42:52
And I was disappointed to find that Planning had not contacted that gentleman until that planning date last week. So I'm personal 00:43:00
to yours. Let's move swiftly the first time so that people can build their American Dream. So with that, thank you for putting 00:43:05
this together. 00:43:10
Any other comment from the board? 00:43:16
Hearing them, the motion is for approval of Code Ordinance 20/24/08. And with that I'll call the calls in favor signify by saying 00:43:19
aye aye, all opposed. Same sign and Code Ordinance 2024-08 passes 5 to 0. That concludes new business. Thank you very much, Max. 00:43:26
Thank you, Elizabeth. 00:43:32
That brings us to public comment. Now is the time for anybody in the public to come forward and share any comments they have with 00:43:40
the County Commissioners. We ask that you keep your comments to 3 minutes when coming forward. Please state your name and address 00:43:46
at the podium if you're unable to attend today. You can also submit your comments by e-mail at public comment at weld.gov or you 00:43:52
can also e-mail them to the clerk to the board at ctv@weld.gov Or we can do it the old fashioned way. Snail mail at Weld County 00:43:59
Clerks of Board, PO Box 758. 00:44:05
1150 OH St. Greeley Co 806 Three two at this time, is there anybody from the public that wishes to make comment today? 00:44:12
OK. Seeing none, I will go ahead and close public comment and we stand adjourned 932. 00:44:24
