So on behalf of the Board, we want to publicly thank all of the hard working farmers and ranchers in Weld County. 00:17:59
What county was founded on strong agricultural roots? The legacy continues daily, where the leading producer and seller of 00:18:05
agricultural products in Colorado ranking eighth nationally and and bringing in 2 billion annually. Thank you farmers and ranchers 00:18:11
for your continued devotion to working the land, finding the crops, raising livestock and providing enormous script for our bodies 00:18:16
for National Farmers Day. 00:18:21
Thank you. 00:18:28

business, new business. We'll move on to public comment. This is an opportunity for anybody in the audience who wish to come and 00:19:54
speak to for up to 3 minutes of the commissioners on anything that's not on our agenda. 00:20:00
Steve. 00:20:06
Alright, good morning. My name is Steve Teats. I'm in Greeley. 00:20:18
I'm going to start out part somewhat positive. 00:20:22
First of all, I want to say about, Well Project Connect. I'm looking forward to it this year. It's going to be a navigator. 00:20:27
And I would encourage everybody else. 00:20:36
As well as people in this room as well as. 00:20:40
About rulings, they can hear me on the yeah, the computer. 00:20:43
Because it is and you need a lot more. 00:20:51
Navigators in the first place. 00:20:55
Um, so it really is a blessing to be able to be helping people and to? 00:20:57
I just said it is a blessing, so I encourage everybody to be a navigator and help out. Second of all is Commissioner James, since 00:21:06
I haven't been here for a little while, could you kind of update me about the MPO and what they're doing at the present time? 00:21:14
Regrettably, I was ill at the last MPO meeting and was down for the count that evening. 00:21:23
And so I cannot give you an update on the most recent. There was a piece of news that we approved recently that I thought of you. 00:21:32
In fact, we all thought of you. When we approved it, Weld County chipped in 29,000 ish, $29,800. 00:21:39
As a match to a request that the City of Greeley is making. 00:21:47
It's it's it's a grant match. They are going to apply for monies to buy buses that will begin regular service up and down 34 00:21:51
between. 00:21:56
Really up to the Centera Mobility Hub stocking in Johnstown, so I thought. 00:22:01
You would be excited by that particular piece of things for how far was it doesn't go in the red, but no, it doesn't go this far 00:22:07
as the mobility hub right now. And then they're gonna rely on the city of Loveland Transit to connect with the that's into your 00:22:12
mobility hub to to distribute into to Loveland. OK, that is a piece of news. In fact, I think we all thought of you when when we 00:22:17
approved that money. 00:22:22
Thank you. 00:22:28
Another thing I want to address is. 00:22:30
The The homeless is getting worse, worse if it's disabled seniors. 00:22:34
You know, trade veterans or just the poor yesterday. 00:22:41
I was out and about. 00:22:46
And I came across with somebody with a sign. 00:22:49
And said he was asking for money, you know, on the sign he had two children. 00:22:52
And I went up to him. He was a young person. 00:22:58
And then he I said, well, maybe you can get some help from social service, he says I'm an illegal. 00:23:02
He came out and said it and. 00:23:09
To because we're getting from the border here, we're getting invaded. I consider it as an invasion. 00:23:12
And we need to do something in the immigration We gotta keep our own immigration laws and we're not doing that. 00:23:20
And it's about and it we if we don't watch it, we're gonna just be. 00:23:27
I'll just say and big, big problems, bigger than we have now in this country as well as here in Weld County and creating and so 00:23:33
forth. 00:23:38
So we we we used to be some how to start this. 00:23:42
Immigration I should say coming a little bit more because it's a lot of them. What I've understand from the news as well as I see 00:23:50
is from Venezuela or Brazil and anywhere else and. 00:23:57
We are being attacked by in different way. 00:24:05
So I. 00:24:08
Hopefully if you could can you your government agency that maybe you could send. 00:24:10
Too hard? 00:24:17
Federal government to to the president to close its borders and because otherwise we're going to have a bigger problem in well, 00:24:19
county in this country and when you're talking about being invaded. 00:24:25
I saw the news. It's very much tragedy is Israel. 00:24:34
It just adds my heart. 00:24:39
I mean, I know it's been a a family war over there for many thousands of years. 00:24:42
But when you get the innocent involved? 00:24:51
That that's going too far. That's just murder. 00:24:58
And uh. 00:25:02
As as it says in the scripture, pray for the peace of Jerusalem. 00:25:04
And I think we really need to pray for the peace of Jerusalem also. I want one of the requests I would like to. 00:25:08
Show me the flag out there half mast for the for the innocent got thrilled. 00:25:17
And in Israel. 00:25:24
It fell and you can possibly to show our respect and show our support to Israel. Thank you. 00:25:29
OK. 00:25:37
Seeing is there any other public comment? 00:25:39
OK. We'll close public comments and that point we will adjourn at 916. Alright, you're pretty close. 00:25:41

Move to Approve contract ID 7459. 00:19:45
James, second by Mr. Buck to approve. All in favor. Aye, opposed. Motion carries. Thank you. OK, thank you. See you. No further 00:19:49
business, new business.
